Behind every installation, estimate, showroom visit, and customer conversation is a team of dedicated individuals who care deeply about helping customers create beautiful spaces.
That’s why we’re launching our Team Spotlight Series. Over the coming months, we’ll introduce you to the people who make Heritage Floors what it is today. From our office staff and estimators to our installation crews, each team member plays an important role in delivering the service and quality our customers expect.
For our first spotlight, we’d like to introduce the owner of Heritage Floors, Jeffrey Kauffman.
A Family Connection
Heritage Floors was founded in 2010 by Elmer Stoltzfus with a vision of providing quality flooring products, expert installation, and exceptional customer service to homeowners throughout Lancaster County and the surrounding area.
Several years ago, Elmer invited his nephew, Jeffrey Kauffman, to join the business. What began as an opportunity to learn the flooring industry soon became a passion for helping customers improve their homes and businesses.
Working alongside Elmer gave Jeffrey a firsthand look at what truly made Heritage Floors successful. It wasn’t just the products or the installations—it was the commitment to treating customers honestly, doing quality work, and building long-term relationships.
Over time, Elmer began discussing his future plans and eventually approached Jeffrey about purchasing the business. In 2026, that transition became a reality, allowing Heritage Floors to continue serving the community while building on the strong foundation established over the previous sixteen years.
Lancaster County Home
Jeffrey and his wife, Larissa, love to call Lancaster County home, where they are raising their four children.
One of the things Jeffrey enjoys most about living in Lancaster County is the strong sense of community. Whether it’s supporting local businesses, attending community events, or helping customers improve their homes, he appreciates being part of an area where relationships still matter. The annual fire company mud sales are one of Jeffrey’s favorite examples of what makes Lancaster County such a special place to live. Seeing entire communities come together to support local volunteer fire companies is a reminder that neighbors still look out for one another here—a spirit of service, generosity, and community that he deeply appreciates.
Away From The Office
When he’s not at Heritage Floors, Jeffrey enjoys investing time in his family, exploring the outdoors, and pursuing his passion for photography and videography. Having worked professionally in the field earlier in life, he still enjoys capturing meaningful moments and beautiful landscapes through a camera lens.
You might often find him flying his drone over Lancaster County’s rolling farmland, covered bridges, and scenic countryside, capturing the beauty of Lancaster County.
Because of the work of Christ in him, Jeffrey believes that every person should be treated with honesty, respect, and genuine care—whether they’re a customer, employee, neighbor, or friend.
Those convictions continue to influence the way Heritage Floors operates today and reflect the kind of experience Jeffrey hopes every customer has when working with the Heritage Floors team.
A Buckeye at Heart
While Lancaster County is home and has been for decades, Jeffrey still faithfully roots for his home-state team every fall.
As a lifelong Ohio State Buckeyes fan, he rarely misses an opportunity to follow the Buckeyes during football season. While Pennsylvania may have claimed his address, Ohio State still has a claim on his Saturdays.
Don’t be surprised if a conversation about flooring occasionally turns into a discussion about college football and its superiority over other sports.
Building on a Strong Foundation
Although ownership has changed, the mission of Heritage Floors remains the same.
Jeffrey’s goal is not to reinvent what has made Heritage Floors successful, but to build upon it. He remains committed to providing outstanding customer service, quality flooring products, skilled installation, and a customer experience that reflects the values upon which the company was founded.
The launch of our new website is one example of that commitment. We’ve worked to create a better online experience where customers can browse products, gather inspiration, learn about flooring options, and connect with our team more easily than ever before.
Looking ahead, Jeffrey is excited about the future of Heritage Floors and the opportunities to continue serving customers throughout Lancaster County and beyond.
